We provide laboratory software and water monitoring systems to privately owned and city systems throughout the Southeast. Our founding members merge backgrounds in industry, science, and technology. 

Bryan Perry

Owner & CEO

Before founding Arcus, Bryan saw a distinct need to bring technology solutions to those who could benefit the most. As a Grade III drinking water operator and a Grade II wastewater operator with over a decade in the industry, he strives to make newer technologies accessible to water operation professionals. When he’s not working as a computer programmer and software designer, Bryan enjoys aviation studies, motorcycle racing, flying his drone, and creating new inspired designs.

Kourtney Hallowell

Director of Business Development

Kourtney received a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology before spending time in the oil fields of the New Mexico desert. Desiring more of an environmental stewardship role, she returned to the greater Birmingham area and soon began work in a water treatment laboratory. This experience has allowed her to recognize the needs of water industry professionals; operators, owner, and technicians alike. In the unique role of assisting design development and forging personal relationships with clients, Kourtney is delighted to discover what people need and how it can be created. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, teaching yoga, and making art.

Karen Ivey

Lead Account Manager

Karen has a diverse background in marketing and management. After obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Operations Management, she worked in industries ranging from utilities to construction to healthcare. Having spent most of the last decade in both laboratory and environmental compliance management, Karen brings to Arcus a passion for keeping clients compliant in today’s rapidly changing regulatory environment. She and her husband enjoy travelling the U.S. and abroad, most recently enjoying the lively culture of the Scottish Isles.
